The walls around the seating area of the Big Beach Cafe were overgrown with weeds and in need of a makeover!
In December 2021 the Friends of Hove Lagoon Gardening Group set to work clearing the weeds. We added a weed barrier and some new topsoil and grit.
Next we planted a selection of small hardy alpines, which we hope will establish themselves over time, to produce an attractive spread of foliage and flowers across the the tops of the walls. Scroll down for our planting gallery – more to come!
